Hey everyone, I'm trying to pull out my GPU so I can change the CMOS battery and give it a good clean. I've already unscrewed it and clicked the latch, but it feels like it won't budge. It can move back and forth a bit, but no up or down movement. Any suggestions on what to do?

Make sure you unscrewed all the right screws. Sometimes there's one above or below the slot that can be missed. Also, the motherboard latch might not be fully open—try putting the card back in, and then try again.
If you're having trouble with the connection, you could try cleaning the PCIe connector on your GPU. Soak a Q-tip in contact cleaner and gently scrub it; it might help with the fit.
Lol, I totally get that! I had the same fear when I first started messing with PCs. Sometimes you just have to give it a good yank to get it out! Glad you managed to pull it out in the end.
Yeah, it's kinda surprising how hard you have to yank out or push in some stuff on PCs. After 25 years of PC building, I'm not afraid to just send it with authority!
We've all been there before!
Did you check if you have a quick-release latch? Older plastic ones are usually right under the card, but newer boards might have them a few inches away with a button to press to release. This tripped me up once!
In the end I've been able to do it by myself, but thanks for the advice!

I got it out, thanks! But now putting it back in is a whole different challenge.
