I'm trying to reset my Apple account password on my new Mac, but it's asking for my iPhone passcode and keeps saying it's incorrect, even though I'm sure I'm entering the right one. Now I'm stuck in account recovery mode. What should I do?

You can try resetting your password directly from your iPhone. Just go to Settings, tap on your name at the top, and then navigate to Sign-In & Security. From there, select Change Password. But if it keeps asking for your password that you can't remember, it might not work until you resolve that issue first.
I get that it can't ask for your password when you're trying to reset it. Have you tried using the Apple ID website on a browser? Sometimes it’s easier to manage your account that way. They might have additional options if you get stuck.
