I'm feeling really stressed out right now because my laptop battery seems completely dead. It keeps showing 'Battery status: 0% available (plugged in)' and the laptop only works when it's plugged into the charger. If the charger moves even slightly or gets unplugged, the laptop just shuts off. I rely on this laptop for my daily schoolwork, like assignments, studying, and attending lectures, which makes this situation even worse.
I've tried a bunch of things before reaching out, like watching YouTube tutorials, googling fixes, altering settings, troubleshooting, restarting, and checking the power options. Nothing works, and I suspect that the battery might be completely done or not being recognized properly. I really can't afford to replace the battery right now since I'm struggling to pay rent, and I've seen the costs for replacement range from $100 and up.
I'm hoping to find any alternative solutions or tips that could help make the laptop usable without shutting off all the time. I definitely need this for next semester, so any suggestions would really mean a lot. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there’s no software fix for a completely dead battery. You might consider getting a cheaper third-party battery, but keep in mind that those often don’t last as long. What's the exact model of your laptop?
It seems like your battery could have either reached the end of its life cycle or it was left uncharged for too long. Either way, you’ll likely need a new battery. Look up your battery's model and maybe consider a replica from a third-party seller if you need something unplugged quickly.
You should really take out that dead battery before it causes any issues, like overheating or worse. It's better to be safe!
You really need to get a new battery like, yesterday. Remove the old one as soon as you can and order a replacement. I know it’s tough, but this is the quickest path to a solution. A new battery is way cheaper than buying a new laptop or dealing with potential hazards.
Yeah, it sounds like your battery is dead. There's no other solution besides replacing it. I've managed to find cheaper versions of batteries from China that work just as well if you order the same model.
