Struggling with Installing Linux on My Samsung Notebook

I'm experiencing some frustrating issues with my Samsung notebook (specs: Intel 17 1165g7, 8GB RAM). I can't seem to install most Linux distributions, as the installation often freezes. Windows has been just as problematic, with frequent freezes during animations and app usage. Given the specs, this system should manage its OS smoothly. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

Could your hard drive be on the fritz? If you're having issues on both Linux and Windows, that might be a sign. But if you've tried different hard drives and SSDs, and the SSD works fine on other systems, it might not be the issue.

First off, have you checked if your graphics drivers are up to date? Outdated drivers can cause weird animations and freezing issues. If they are current, you can try resetting the graphics drivers with Ctrl+Shift+Win+B. This might help get things running more smoothly.
