Struggling with Issues on My New OLED Monitor – Help Needed!

I'm having a tough time with my new OLED monitor setup. I just built a new PC and started off with an Asus Strix OLED 27-inch 1440p monitor. During a gaming session, the screen suddenly went black, the power light began flashing, and I couldn't access the on-screen menu anymore. I tried power cycling and switching ports, but nothing worked, so I ended up returning it. Then, I purchased a Swift PG32UCDM, a 32-inch 4K monitor, which started off fine but has also begun randomly turning off with a flashing power light. This morning, after waking my PC, I noticed that the display was only on the Swift monitor, even though I have a second, basic 1080p LCD monitor connected. The resolution was stuck at 720p, and when I rebooted, it only displayed on the secondary monitor. I'm really frustrated and wondering what's going on. Is this all a coincidence, or am I missing something? Also, I checked ASUS's site for drivers or firmware updates, but found nothing. What's the deal with this?

I really doubt it's the OLED monitor causing the issues. It could be due to the significant resolution difference between your two monitors! Have you tried disconnecting the second monitor to see if that resolves the problem? Also, some OLEDs have a setting that flashes the screen occasionally to protect against burn-in, which might be what's happening here.

This is really helpful info! I hadn't considered the resolution difference as a potential issue. I mean, I guess I don’t absolutely need the second monitor, but it’s frustrating that using both isn’t straightforward. My old setup with two 1080p monitors never gave me any problems.

It sounds like the issue with just one monitor displaying is more likely a Windows bug than a malfunction with your monitors. Did your PC install any updates recently? That could be the culprit!
