I bought a new PC from CyberPower back in February, and everything was running smoothly until I noticed my microphone just wouldn't work. It's recognized by the system, but even when I crank up the volume to 100%, I can barely hear anything. I'm using a HyperX headset but my mic seems to have issues only with this PC. It works perfectly on my old Windows 10 laptop without any problems. I've tried a bunch of fixes, like updating the chipset for my Asus Prime B760 Plus motherboard and messing around with drivers. The Windows 11 Realtek driver recognizes the mic, but it doesn't when I switch to the motherboard's driver. Sometimes, after uninstalling the driver, it works for a day or two, but then it just stops again. The only thing I'm aware that needs an update is my BIOS, which is currently version 2.22.1286. I'm planning to update it soon to see if that helps with the mic issue. Anyone have suggestions?

Have you checked your Windows settings to see what the default microphone is set to? Sometimes, it’s just a simple oversight. Make sure your HyperX headset is selected as the default device in the sound settings. It's always good to start with that sanity check!
Yes, I did check that! My motherboard's working fine, so it’s not malfunctioning.
