I'm an electronics engineer with a decade of experience in low-level programming (mostly C and assembly). Despite my background, I've hit a wall when it comes to understanding object-oriented programming (OOP) and high-level languages. While I find it straightforward to manipulate hardware and write code that interacts directly with components, concepts like classes and objects feel completely abstract to me. I've taken online courses and had people explain things, but my progress is slow. My colleagues can do things in minutes that I struggle with for hours. Should I give up on OOP and stick to what I know, or is there hope for me to improve?
