I've been facing ongoing internet connection issues on my PC, and it's been a real struggle. Despite being located right next to the router, my WiFi connection has always been poor—high latency, slow upload and download speeds. We've got a decent internet package, so this has been frustrating for ages, possibly even a decade. I've thought about buying my own router to improve the situation, but I wasn't sure how to set it up. Recently, the connection has gotten worse; I often have to leave my bedroom door open just to get a stable connection. With the door closed, everything slows down dramatically—Google barely loads and streaming services are impossible to use. I wonder if WiFi signals get blocked and what I can do about it. Although running an Ethernet cable to the router isn't the easiest option since it's in another room, I do have a second router that I bought. I could use some advice on what steps to take to fix my connection issues.

It sounds like the first thing to do is figure out where the problem lies. Have you tried speed testing your phone from your room? If your phone gets better speeds, it might be an issue with your WiFi adapter on your PC. Also, ensure you're using the right USB ports—some are faster than others!

I'll definitely do a speed test on my phone in my room. Should I try it in different spots around the house too?
