Stuck in an Update Loop on My MacBook Due to Low Storage

I'm facing a frustrating issue with my 2015 MacBook. After my laptop battery died, it's now prompting me to perform an update. Unfortunately, I'm running low on storage, and can't get past this update requirement. I'm wondering if I can connect an external drive to complete the update instead. Has anyone dealt with this before?

It sounds like you're in a bit of a bind! Yes, you can definitely connect an external hard drive and try to perform the update from there. Just make sure that the external drive has enough space available to accommodate the update. Once you connect it, you can select the drive during the update process when prompted.

I suggest taking a photo of the exact update message you're receiving. It could help clarify what specific update is required, and we might be able to provide more tailored advice. If you're unsure about posting images here, try uploading it to an image hosting site and share the link!
