I'm looking for some advice on building a PC setup for about $500. The main purposes would be simple coding, light gaming (like Minecraft and Unturned), and basic daily use. This budget includes a monitor too. I know it's not super easy to fit everything into this price range, but it's all I can manage since my parents are contributing a bit and I've saved some from my part-time job as a food delivery driver.
Here are the specs I'm considering:
- Ryzen 5 5600G
- 8GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM
- 256GB SSD (I know it's low, but I plan to upgrade later)
- 450W power supply
- B450 motherboard
- A standard cabinet
- Acer 144Hz 1080p monitor
This setup totals exactly $500 on Amazon, and I realize I'll need to pick up a keyboard on top of that. If anyone has better suggestions or alternatives, I'd love to hear them!

Honestly, your build seems solid for the price! Just a tip, I'd recommend sticking with Windows 10 instead of going with Windows 11. It runs smoother on lower-end hardware, which might be helpful for your budget setup.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll go with Windows 10 then.
