Suggestions for Building a Budget PC for Modded Minecraft and Fortnite

I'm looking to build a PC primarily for playing modded Minecraft with shaders and Fortnite. I've put together a list of components, and I'm aiming to keep my budget between £500 and £700. Are there any parts I can swap out to save some money? High framerate isn't a big concern for me.

I wouldn't skimp on the power supply (PSU). A 750W Gold-rated PSU can save you money in the long run by allowing you to upgrade your components later without issues.

You can save about £50 by choosing an mATX motherboard instead of an ATX one. It might look a bit peculiar in a full-sized case, but savings are savings! For example, there's this B850 board that still has WiFi for just £113. I also found this other option: [https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/sNQwrH/gigabyte-b650m-gaming-wifi6e-micro-atx-am5-motherboard-b650m-gaming-wifi6e](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/sNQwrH/gigabyte-b650m-gaming-wifi6e-micro-atx-am5-motherboard-b650m-gaming-wifi6e). Plus, buying a used GPU can cut costs a bit; 3060s are going for around £200-210 on eBay!

I took a shot at modifying your build to lower the total price. Check out this adjusted part list: [https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/j7NnJn](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/j7NnJn). Let me know what you think!

You might consider buying the CPU from AliExpress to save around £50-100. There's also the 7500F available for about £50 less, although it has slightly lower performance and no integrated graphics. That could help you trim some costs!

I'd suggest switching your CPU to the 7500F from AliExpress and maybe upgrading your motherboard to an ASRock B650 Livemixer. It has been very reliable for me, and it's cheaper without a significant impact on performance. Also, consider swapping your GPU for an Intel Arc B580 for a slight performance boost over the 3060. I just compiled my own build for £750 here: [https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/JFV3kf](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/JFV3kf). If you want to save even more, look into the Arc A770 or B570.
