Suggestions for Cutting $100 from My PC Build?

I'm looking to trim about $100 off my current PC build while ensuring it can handle gaming at 1440p with 100+ fps in most titles. The core components are pretty solid, but I'm open to suggestions for a cheaper case that fits either a fish tank style or a standard design, as long as it can accommodate three fans. For context, this build includes a CPU, motherboard, and RAM that I got as a Microcenter bundle. Here's the link to my current build for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Mc2zcx.

You could go with this air cooler for reliability and savings: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GpbRsY/thermalright-phantom-spirit-120-se-6617-cfm-cpu-cooler-ps120se. Air cooling's usually cheaper! Everything else looks decent, though 6000 CL30 RAM would be ideal if that bundle is what you’re locked into.

Here’s a build that saves you $87.50: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JxcNmC. It totals about $952.93 right now. You could also consider a 650W 80+ Bronze PSU that’s at least C tier. I found an alternative case with a fourth fan at the back, but just a heads up, it doesn’t have a USB-C slot upfront.

If you switch to Patriot Viper for RAM, you could save around $10. Downgrading to a 1TB SSD from the same brand will also cut costs by about $50. For the case, try the Aerocool D501A V2; it's around $35 cheaper and still looks great!

But the RAM is part of the bundle and might not be changeable.

I've found a build that gets you close to $100 less, though it's not quite there. You can check it out here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VgRqnp. It might help!

Seriously, what’s up with that storage option?

You might consider switching to a $15 120mm air cooler and going for a 1TB SSD. A 650W power supply should also be good for your needs. The 9060XT 16GB is available at MSRP for around $350; that could keep you within your budget while still offering great performance!

Definitely agree with this! Those are smart swaps.

Could you maybe save a bit longer before buying? That might really help you reach your $100 goal.

Is the CPU, motherboard, and RAM from a bundle that's not flexible? If so, that limits your options a bit.
