Suggestions for Upgrading a Friend’s iRacing PC

Hey everyone! My friend is looking to upgrade his gaming setup from an i7 7700K paired with a GTX 1080 Ti, as it's feeling a bit outdated. He's set a budget of $2000 and primarily uses the PC for iRacing and some light video editing. I've started a basic build, keeping in mind that he wants RGB lighting since he has already picked a case. I'm looking for any suggestions or feedback you might have on the components. Here's the parts list I created: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/FloridaKilos/saved/Ww366h.

Make sure to go for an NVIDIA graphics card if your friend is only planning to play on a single monitor and isn't into VR. I'm currently upgrading my setup for a similar budget specifically for iRacing—going from a 2080 and i5-9600K to a 9800X3D and a 5070 Ti in a mATX case. I had to work a bit harder on pricing but managed to grab some parts thanks to price matching at a local store! Simulators can really be CPU-heavy, so keep that in mind.

Could you share your parts list? I'm trying to convince my friend to focus more on performance rather than just aesthetics.
