Swapped My PSU to a Higher Wattage, Now My Motherboard Won’t Work

I replaced my old 500W power supply unit (PSU) with a new 1000W one because I was experiencing some weird power cycling issues. After swapping the PSU, my motherboard doesn't seem to function at all. The LEDs light up, and the fans spin, but that's it—no further activity. Just to be sure, I disconnected all peripherals and tried with just the new PSU, keyboard, and monitor (using VGA from the onboard graphics), but still no response. I went back to the original 500W PSU, hoping it would work, but I faced the same problem again. Everything is connected properly, so I'm at a loss. Did I fry my motherboard? Any suggestions?

What model is your motherboard? If you tell me, I can check the manual for any error codes or LEDs that might help.

I feel you—I’m also suspecting a fried motherboard at this point. I'm checking out replacements too. Looking into the ASRock H470M-HVS Micro-ATX, might be a good match for your Intel i9 and GeForce RTX 3050 setup.

It's possible that the motherboard or the CPU were the root cause of the original problem. Changing the PSU might have just pushed the system over the edge.

Did you happen to use any cables from the old PSU with the new one? Sometimes bad connections can cause issues.
