Thinking About Building My Own Linux from Scratch, Any Tips?

Hey everyone! I'm relatively new to Linux and have only dabbled with a few distros thanks to a friend's recommendation. Despite my minimal experience and zero programming knowledge (no C or Python), I'm considering diving into Linux From Scratch (LFS) to build my own Linux system. I'm really curious about how it works, but I have to admit that reading documentation can feel boring to me. I'm 20 years old and about to start my final year in engineering. My favorite distro so far has been Archcraft. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on prerequisites before I embark on this journey?

Before you jump into LFS, you definitely want to make sure you have some time on your hands and enough disk space if you're not doing it in a VM. Patience is key, as well as a willingness to read—so brush up on some bash commands like changing directories and copying files. Just a heads up, your first LFS build is mostly a learning experience, so don't get discouraged if it doesn't work perfectly right away!

Thanks a lot! I'm currently using Windows, so I'll need to switch to Linux first. Any tips on that?
