Thinking About Upgrading My GPU—Do I Need to Change Anything Else?

I'm planning to upgrade the graphics card in my PC to either a 5060TI 16GB or a 5070, but I'm not sure if everything else in my system will be compatible. I've been using this build since 2020, and now that I finally have the budget for an upgrade, I'd love some advice. Here's my current build for reference: [link]. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a G-Sync compatible monitor—could I still use AMD cards with that? Also, do you think the 9060XT 16GB is a solid budget option that offers some future-proofing?

Definitely! You can use AMD cards with G-Sync monitors, but you might have to enable some settings. The 9060XT is a great choice for its price and should serve you well for a while.

You're going to be in good shape with that setup. I’ve got a similar configuration (AM4, 5700x, rx9070) and mine runs smoothly with a 650w PSU. You should be all set if you get a card that fits!

Just make sure the new GPU fits in your case, and I think you’ll be fine! Your PSU is strong enough for either card. You might also want to look into the AMD 9070 16GB or the 9060XT 16GB. They pack a lot of value and perform well.

Going from a 1650 to either the 5060 or 5070 is quite the upgrade! Just make sure to verify that the card you choose is under 410mm because that’s your case's limit. Also, if you're using a stock cooler, you might want to invest in a good tower cooler while you're at it for better performance—it's worth it!

Yeah, it’s definitely going to be a big improvement! I see you’re using a Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID cooler, which is great. Plus, adding those extra fans should help with airflow too!
