I'm in the process of building my first gaming PC and I'm looking for some feedback. My goal isn't to chase the absolute best graphics, but I want good visuals with stable frame rates while gaming at 1440p. I've done a lot of research but would love to hear from more experienced builders to validate my component choices. Here's what I'm planning to get:
**Components (most of these are on sale):**
* **CPU:** Ryzen 7 9700X – ~$304
* **GPU:** Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 OC 16GB – ~$599
* **Motherboard:** ASUS B650E MAX Gaming Wi-Fi – ~$100
* **Cooler:** Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 A-RGB – ~$48
* **RAM:** Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL36 Vengeance RGB – ~$286
* **SSD:** Crucial P510 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 5 – ~$142
* **PSU:** MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 II 750W – ~$76
* **Case:** Phanteks XT View – ~$81
Is there anything I can improve? How will this setup perform? Any potential issues I should be aware of?

Overall, your build looks solid! I’d just suggest considering a different CPU since the Ryzen 7 9700X might be overkill for just gaming. The Ryzen 5 9600X is cheaper and only slightly slower in most games.
The component choices are good, but I’d recommend switching to an air cooler like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin instead of an AIO. It’s more reliable and you won’t have to worry about leaks. Also, check for prices in your area because $304 for a 9700X could be steep!
I totally agree about air coolers! They really last a long time without the risk of failure.
In terms of power supply, I’d suggest bumping it up to at least 850W. It gives you room for future upgrades without the hassle of rewiring everything again. As for the GPU, if the 9070XT is close in price, you might want to consider that too; Nvidia cards usually have better support for new games.
Good point on the PSU! I’d hate to have to replace it later.

Yeah, I've read that the 9600X is a great value for gamers. If you're not running heavy workloads, it's probably all you need!
