Hey folks! I'm planning to build a new PC for gaming at 1440p, dabble in some AI/ML projects, and do a bit of content creation. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback on my planned setup. Here's the link to my build on PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BfgnrM.

Looks great! The only thing I'd caution is that 96GB of RAM could be a bit much for most needs. That said, with this build, you could even game at 4K pretty well! I have a 4070 Super, and it handles it fine, but it really depends on the games you play.

Thanks! I might drop it down to 64GB. I wanted the extra RAM to handle larger AI models, but I think 64GB will still do just fine.

If you're looking at used options, I’d lean towards a 3090 over the 7900 XTX, so just consider that.

I hear you. I’m a bit nervous about going the used route, but if I can find one with a warranty for under €1k, it might be worth considering.

I’d recommend going for an X3D processor. They offer some excellent performance and could be a good fit for your needs.

Thanks for the tip! I’m considering the 9800X3D, but I'm aware it may have some trade-offs in content creation. I'll have to look into it more.

You should check out the Frame 4000D RS; it comes with pre-installed fans and might save you some cash compared to buying a case and fans separately. Plus, Nvidia GPUs are generally better for AI since they have more CUDA cores, so keep that in mind.

I appreciate it! The prices here are similar for the 4000D RS and the separate case + fans setup, but I might go with your suggestion for ease. You're right about Nvidia; the top-end cards like the 4090/5090 are really pricey. I'm hesitant about buying a used 3090 or 3090 Ti too.
