Hey folks! I've saved up some cash and I'm ready to transition from a laptop to a desktop PC. I'm eyeing this build to handle office tasks as well as games like Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3, and modded Skyrim at 1080p. Before I go ahead and buy everything, I'd love to hear your thoughts and any suggestions for improvements or alternatives. Here's my current build list:

**CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor
**CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE 66.17 CFM
**Motherboard:** Asus PRIME B550M-A WIFI II Micro ATX
**Memory:** Silicon Power XPOWER Turbine 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200
**Storage:** Silicon Power UD90 2 TB NVMe SSD
**Video Card:** ASRock Phantom Gaming OC Arc A770 16 GB Video Card
**Case:** Montech XR ATX Mid Tower Case
**Power Supply:** MSI MAG A550BN 550 W 80+ Bronze

Total Cost: $800.48
Thanks for your help!

I agree with upgrading the CPU. The cooler seems like a bit much for this build—there are more efficient ways to allocate your budget. If you aim for a better CPU, think about potentially going for Intel, but keep an eye on driver support since they’re newer to dedicated graphics. Also, don't skimp on the power supply; it’s crucial, especially for gaming setups!

Got it! So, no need for that fancy CPU cooler if I switch to a different CPU?

Looks like a decent setup! However, the Ryzen 5 3600 is getting a bit dated. I suggest checking out a newer CPU for gaming. Also, consider going for a 1TB SSD right away—it's easier to upgrade storage later, and it could save you some cash. You might want to check out some builds around this price point that can offer better performance for a similar price!
