I'm excited to build my first gaming and video editing PC and have ordered a few components already. Before I finalize everything, I want to make sure I'm not missing anything or making mistakes. Here's what I've got so far:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D (already purchased)
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE (£37/$50)
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E ATX (£140/$187)
- **RAM:** Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 64GB (2x32GB) 6800MHz (already purchased)
- **Storage:** Crucial P310 4TB M.2 NVMe (£300/$401)
- **Graphics Card:** RTX 5080 16GB (£980/$1310)
- **Case:** NZXT H7 Flow (2024) ATX Mid Tower (£75/$100)
- **Power Supply:** Gigabyte AORUS ELITE P850 850W 80+ Platinum (£110/$147)
This brings my total to around £1642/$2200. I want a powerful setup for intensive video editing and gaming and a system that can easily be upgraded down the line. Additionally, I plan to include a 1TB SSD and a 2TB HDD for extra storage. I got great deals on the parts I've bought so I'm not looking to change those. Any tips or suggestions are really appreciated!

Consider checking out a different motherboard, like the B850 Aorus, as it has better VRMs which can give you more stability during heavy loads.
Everything seems pretty well thought out! Just keep in mind that when you enable XMP, you might not reach that 6800MHz speed on most AM5 CPUs, so dialing it down to 6000MHz is wise. Your components are a great foundation!
Your build looks solid overall! Just a heads up though, the RAM you chose is technically faster than what your CPU can handle out of the box. It’s a good idea to manually adjust it to DDR5-6000 for optimal performance. Good luck with the build!
