I'm brand new to building PCs and looking to create one for gaming. My goal is to build a computer that can handle most AAA games, similar to what I'd play on my PlayStation 5, without going overboard. I'm working with a budget of around $2,000 to $3,000, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by the number of options available. Can anyone share some advice or recommended builds to help me get started?

I suggest using PCPartPicker to help you with your build. It has tons of completed guides and a build tool that helps you put together compatible parts. With your budget, I'd aim for an AMD x3d chip paired with either a 5070 Ti or 5080 GPU. Right now, prices are a bit high, so consider the 9070 XT as well. Here's a build guide to get you started: https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/BkrxFT/magnificent-amd-gamingstreaming-build. You can save money by swapping in a 9070 XT or looking for bundle deals at your local store.
You'll want to think about the resolution you plan to game at—1080p, 1440p, or 4K—as that will heavily influence your build. Remember that the PS5 upscales to 4K, so if you want to game at that resolution on PC, you'll need a powerful GPU for good frame rates.
If you're near a Microcenter, definitely check their website for pricing and build options. They have some good deals on parts that can make your build easier and more cost-effective.

I plan to use dual 1440p monitors for gaming.
