I'm feeling really frustrated with the repair costs for my iPhone, especially with Apple Care. Recently, I cracked my camera cover, and while it only costs about $10 to get a replacement on Amazon, Apple wants to charge me $99 for the repair. I'm considering switching to Samsung, but I want a smartphone that'll last and isn't burdened with constant forced updates. What I really need to know is which brands have the most reasonable repair costs and ease of repairing. Can anyone share their experiences? Also, can I easily transfer my photos and contacts from iOS to Android? Thanks for any advice!

You might want to check out Fairphone. Their repair costs are a bit high at around $100, but still feasible compared to Apple. Also, that $10 replacement part you found probably won’t match the quality of the original, though I get the frustration! You could try adding a camera lens protector for extra safety at a lower price.

That could be true, but I still think for the price, I'd rather take my chances. Quality on some of those parts is improving, especially with products shipped from China. I'm definitely more concerned about the adhesive than the glass!
