I'm currently in my fourth semester of an IT degree and just received my midterm score for a web programming exam—only 9% out of 15%. This has left me feeling a bit down, and I'm looking for advice on how to improve my coding skills. Have any of you been through a similar experience? What steps did you take to get better?

Focus on creating things instead of solely relying on tutorials. Building your own projects will help solidify your skills and creativity.

One word: practice! Seriously, the more you write code, the better you'll get. Instead of just watching tutorials, try building your own projects. There are tons of project ideas out there that can really help you learn.

It might help to figure out why you didn't do well. If you can get feedback on your exam, that could point out where you need improvement. I'd be happy to help if you share more info!

Just keep practicing! If you know which parts of the exam you struggled with, go back and review those topics. It’s all about repetition and understanding the concepts.

Don't stress too much about test scores. Getting good at programming comes from experimenting—breaking and fixing things. Try to focus less on syntax and more on understanding how everything works.
