Tips for Preparing for a Senior Gov Job Interview

I have an upcoming interview for a senior position with a local government agency next Tuesday, but I haven't worked with traditional Microsoft tools, Endpoint Management, or PowerShell in over two years. Right now, I'm a Salesforce admin and I'm feeling a bit nervous since this will be my first senior role in system administration. I'm looking for advice on how to practice my skills and make a good impression during the interview. What kind of questions should I expect for a senior admin position?

I work for a local government agency, and we stick to a set list of questions for every candidate. Our questions are usually broad and situational, like 'Tell me about a time when...' This means your resume will show your potential skills, but how you answer and your body language can really tell a lot as well. To prepare, think of some questions to ask the interviewers too. Showing that you're engaged and interested can leave a positive impression. Try to relax, take your time with your answers, and if you don’t have experience with something, be honest and say you’re eager to learn. Also, avoid taking excessive notes – it can put the interviewers off. Just be yourself!

Not to scare you, but remember that they might ask about a wide range of skills. Review the job description closely because they might expect you to cover multiple roles. I switched jobs last year, and it seems like they want someone who can do everything now for one salary.
