Tips for Safely Moving My PC Cross-Country

Hey everyone! I recently built my PC and I'm getting ready to relocate across the country for a new job, thankfully the company is covering the move. I'm a bit anxious about transporting my new PC safely. I have the original box and foam for my NZXT H6 Flow case, so I plan to use that for the main unit. However, I'm wondering whether I should remove my GPU and pack it separately for better safety, or if it can stay in the case with the foam. Also, I might be bringing along my old PC, which I hope to sell before the move, but if not, I'd like tips on how to package both systems properly. Any advice on this would be super helpful!

It really depends on your GPU and cooler setup. If you have a large GPU, it’s a good idea to remove it completely and package it separately. Same goes for any big air coolers; I’d take those off too. You can leave an AIO cooler in place, but make sure to use ESD-safe packing peanuts to fill any voids in the case for extra protection. Just to be safe, I'd definitely remove heavy components to avoid damaging the motherboard during transit.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely take the GPU out and send it in a separate box.
