I'm trying to access my Evolution router to modify some settings, but I'm encountering an issue. I found the gateway address through ipconfig on my laptop, which is 192.168.40.1. However, when I enter this IP into my Edge browser, it says the site cannot be reached. I've also tried accessing it via both http and https, and even attempted adding :8443 at the end, but I still get the same error. I've rebooted my laptop and can successfully ping the IP address, so I'm confused about why this is happening. I've also tried the common IPs like 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1, but without any success. I looked online for solutions specific to this router brand but didn't find much useful information, only an old forum post from someone who had a similar issue without any resolution.

If your ISP manages the router, it’s best to reach out to them for access instructions. But if it's your personal router, check for the manual specific to your model since the access methods can vary. Some routers only allow management via a wired connection as a security measure.
Are you certain your router has a web management interface? It’d help to know the exact model. Since you can ping 192.168.40.1, you're likely on the right track. Just be careful not to try random IPs because that can lead you off course.
