I'm trying to add a couple of new session hosts to our terminal server farm, but I'm running into issues during the installation. The new servers show up in the Connection Broker within ServerManager without any problem, but when I go to Remote Desktop Services > Overview, click "Add RD Session Host servers," and try to add the two new servers, the installation fails. I've checked the event viewer logs on both servers, looking under System, Application, and all the Remote Desktop event folders, but I haven't found any clues. I've also stripped GPO from the new session hosts and ensured I'm logged in with my Domain Admin account, which has admin access to the new session hosts. Any suggestions on where I should look for potential issues? Thanks for any help!

Make sure that the servers you're trying to add are part of the RDS Groups. The server from which you're trying to add new machines needs to be in the RDS Management Servers. Also, ensure that you're not mixing OS versions. All RD Session Hosts in a collection must be on the same version, though you can have multiple collections with different versions. You can check Microsoft's support config for details.
You might want to check if you can communicate with the new session hosts. Try temporarily disabling the firewall on those servers to see if that resolves the problem since it might be an issue with WinRM not functioning properly. Let me know how that goes!
We actually have the Windows firewall disabled already, but it didn't help.

They're only listed in Server Manager, which lets me choose them for RDS Services, and we're all running Windows Server 2019 due to the application's support requirements.
