Trouble Booting Linux from USB on My Main PC

I've recently downloaded Linux Mint (22.1 Cinnamon) onto a USB stick, and while it booted up perfectly on my boyfriend's notebook, my main PC isn't recognizing it. My PC has both an HDD and an SSD, but all I get is the message "reboot and select proper boot device". I've made sure the boot options prioritize the USB, and I've tried every USB port available. Secure Boot is disabled, and all boot options are set to UEFI. The USB works without issues on the notebook, so I'm really stuck here. I need Linux for my classes, but I can't keep using my boyfriend's computer since he needs it too. Any advice to help get Linux booting on my main PC? For reference, my main PC has a Gigabyte motherboard, an M.2 SSD for Windows 11, and a SATA HDD for storage.

Sometimes, the BIOS has a specific key for selecting the boot device instead of just adjusting settings inside. Have you checked that? It's worth a shot! I’d also love to hear more from others on this.

When I hit F12, it shows the USB option, but then it just says "select proper boot device" again. It's so frustrating! 🙁
