Trouble Connecting Client to Active Directory on VirtualBox

I'm having some issues getting my client to connect to my Active Directory (AD) on a VirtualBox setup. I've set up a server with the domain name lab.local, and I've added a client to this network, but it's not working. The IP addresses are configured correctly, and I can see lab.local in the Server Manager. I have a single Ethernet connection for both the domain server and the client, but I can't figure out what I'm missing. Also, I can't add images to show my setup.

Just a heads-up, it looks like you've created a new account and posted your question multiple times. Just wondering why you did that?

I forgot my password and Reddit suggested posting to get more views, so I went with it.

Did you remember to set the DNS address of your client to the IP of the AD server? That’s usually a crucial step for connectivity.

Yes, I made sure the client’s DNS server matches the domain server's IP.

Can you ping the server? What’s your network profile set to, public or private? That might be affecting the connection.

I've tried pinging it without success. I did an nslookup, and it returned nothing as well. After changing the profile to private, I still couldn't ping lab.local. I’m getting about 50% packet loss when trying to ping the IP.
