Hey everyone! My PC has completely stopped connecting to the internet after a brief power outage. Just to clarify, I'm using a direct ethernet connection, so no Wi-Fi involved. The router seems fine since all my other devices connected to the Wi-Fi are working perfectly. It's just my PC that's having issues. I even tried connecting my phone's data to the PC via a USB cable, but that didn't do anything either. I thought it might be a driver issue, but reinstalling the network drivers didn't help at all. Flushing the DNS and restarting everything also didn't solve the problem. The Windows troubleshooter mentioned it can't read the DNS, but I'm honestly out of ideas. Any suggestions?

Keep in mind that you shouldn't rule out the router so quickly. If you can, try connecting a different device using the same ethernet cable to see if it works. That would help narrow down the problem.
Have you checked if your computer is plugged into a good surge protector or a UPS? It makes a difference after a power outage! A decent surge protector can help protect against future issues too.
I had the same issue! I ended up rolling back to an older network driver, which fixed the connection, but my PC was lagging a bit. Might be worth a shot if it’s an option for you.
