Trouble Fitting DDR4 RAM in My New Build's Motherboard

I've got some old parts I'm trying to reuse for a new build, specifically two 8GB sticks of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM. The issue is that they won't fit into my new motherboard, the B550M DS3H AC R2. I can't figure out what the problem is because I've checked everything, and sites like PCPartPicker aren't showing any compatibility issues. Does anyone here have advice on what could be wrong?

Just to cover all bases: make sure your motherboard is definitely DDR4 compatible, and ensure the RAM sticks are facing the right way. If it says DDR4 on the mobo, you’re likely good there, but it’s easy to overlook these simple things sometimes! Maybe even post a picture of the setup if you’re still stuck.

MemoryMystic456: Yeah, if everything looks aligned and it’s still not clicking in, definitely consider trying a different slot. Or you might have a faulty motherboard.
