Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of a frustrating issue. I've previously installed Linux Mint without any trouble, but now I'm trying to get Debian up and running on my new PC. I created a bootable USB using Balena Etcher on my laptop and everything seemed fine. However, when I try to boot from the USB on my PC, I see the normal Debian installation menu and select the graphic installer, but then my screen goes black and my computer restarts. It's like I'm stuck in a loop of reset! I've also tried installing Manjaro and Linux Mint, but met with the same result. I'm really at a loss here! My PC specs include an Intel Core i5 and an Nvidia GTX 970, if that helps. Any advice to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried using Ventoy instead of Balena Etcher? Some users find it works better for creating bootable USBs. Also, switching to a different USB drive or using another USB port might help too!
This could potentially be an Nvidia driver issue, or it might be that the USB creation didn't go as planned. Have you tried the non-graphical install? It's generally quicker and could help you bypass the black screen problem. If you get to a working system, tweaking some parameters in grub could solve the boot issue later on.
It might help to boot from the USB without installing and just run the OS directly from the USB. I often find that breaking things down into smaller steps helps me pinpoint the issue when I hit a wall.
You might want to flash the USB again, as it could be corrupted. I've heard that Fedora Media Writer can be a better alternative to Balena for creating bootable USBs.
I did try a different USB port, but the issue persisted. I'll give the other suggestions a shot, thanks for the help!
