Trouble Installing Windows 11: Missing Drivers Issue

I'm trying to switch back to Windows 11 from Linux Mint, but I keep hitting a snag during installation. It says that I need to load drivers, and I've tried a bunch of things already. I formatted my USB and adjusted some BIOS settings, but nothing seems to work. Do I need another Windows device to download the installer, or could it be because Linux isn't able to download it properly? My system has an AMD B550M Aorus Elite motherboard, a Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, and an RX 6650 XT GPU. Sorry for any typos; English is not my first language.

Make sure to head over to the Gigabyte support page for your motherboard. Look for the SATA RAID/AHCI section, and download the preinstall driver. Once you extract it, put the folder on your boot USB and load it during the setup. That should help!

I tried that, but the installation still failed. I’m not sure about RAID/AHCI since I’m using an NVMe drive, not SATA.

You definitely need the right drivers for your installation. If your PC is prebuilt, check the manufacturer’s website for specific storage drivers for Windows installation. They usually have everything laid out there.
