Hi all! I recently faced an issue with one of my RAM sticks that seemed to die suddenly. My PC wouldn't boot up properly; some RGB lights would come on, but there was no display. When I removed that stick, the computer worked fine. I tried installing it again today, and it booted up without any issues, but after turning it off and on later, the same problem occurred. I also tried changing the RAM stick's position, but it still wouldn't boot with both sticks. I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this! Both sticks are identical in speed and timings.

I’d recommend running a memory test with both sticks installed to see if the problematic one shows any errors. If it fails, you might want to test each stick individually to confirm it's the faulty one. If you find it’s indeed bad, reach out to the manufacturer for an RMA since many RAM sticks come with a lifetime warranty. You can use MemTest for diagnosing it!
Honestly, if one stick is acting up like that, it might be best to just toss the broken one and get a new one. It can be a hassle to deal with unreliable RAM, and finding a trustworthy replacement will save you headaches down the line.
Just to check, does your PC boot up fine with just the "broken" stick?
I’ve dealt with a faulty RAM stick before, and it sounds like yours is functioning intermittently, which is a bad sign. Even if it works sometimes, it’s likely not dependable enough for your setup. It might be worth replacing it completely instead of risking issues in the long run.

No, I waited a bit and it still didn’t show any display.
