Trouble with Fast Charging on My New iPhone

I recently got my first iPhone almost a month ago, and it's been amazing compared to my old, sluggish phone that had a terrible battery. Lately, though, I'm running into some charging issues that's making me nervous. When I use my fast charging brick, it seems to slow down while charging. This has been going on for a few days, and I'm getting flashbacks of my old phone having similar problems. I've checked my battery settings and everything looks fine, but when it reaches 80%, it just stops charging. Usually, I have to unplug and replug it, but then it continues to charge super slowly. I'm not sure if the temperature can affect it, but my phone isn't hot at all. I'm worried something might be wrong! By the way, I've been taking off the phone case to help it cool down while charging too.

It sounds like you might want to check the optimized battery charging setting. Go to Settings > Battery > Charging, and turn off optimized battery charging. This feature stops charging at 80% to save battery health, which could be why it slows down for that last bit. It learns your charging habits and can definitely affect how quickly it fills up those last 20%. Most users find that turning it off doesn't hurt regular battery life much!

That won’t affect my normal battery life negatively when I turn it off, will it? I really like having my battery last the whole day instead of putting it to charge for 4 to 5 times a day like my old phone.
