Trouble with My PC Not Displaying on the Monitor

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here, so I hope I'm in the right spot. I recently bought a used PC because I needed one quickly. Initially, everything was fine when I set it up at home; I reached the Windows 11 setup screen, but I couldn't connect to Wi-Fi with my USB adapter. I decided to move the PC closer to my modem (about 7 feet away) along with my monitor. However, when I turned it on again, nothing displayed on the monitor, and now neither the keyboard nor the USB devices work, no matter where I plug them in. The motherboard light flickers upon startup but then turns off, whereas it used to stay on. Do you think I ended up with a bad PC, or does anyone have suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks for any help!

Do you have any error codes? Most modern motherboards feature a two-digit or character display that can help identify issues during startup.

Unfortunately, there's no display on my motherboard. I can share the specs if that might help since I’m not sure how to send photos or videos.

I'm experiencing something similar. I rolled back my GPU drivers, but I'm still having issues. Sometimes, if I leave my PC on and keep switching the DisplayPort connections on the GPU, it will work eventually.

I’ll try that as well, thanks for the tip!

First, check if your monitor is connected to the GPU (graphics card) instead of the motherboard directly. Sometimes for DisplayPort, the monitor needs to be turned on before you power up the PC. Also, take a look at your motherboard for any debug lights; they can indicate where the boot issue might be coming from, like labels for CPU, DRAM, VGA, or BOOT. Not all motherboards have this feature, but it’s worth checking!

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot! I have some photos and a video of my setup if that could help, but I'm not sure how to post them.
