Hey everyone! I'm facing some challenges with Office 365 device licensing for a small educational setup. We purchased the "Microsoft 365 A1 for devices for students" through a CSP reseller, and I'm having a hard time getting the licenses assigned to our devices, despite everything seeming to be in order. Here are some details:

- Our devices are Entra ID Hybrid joined.
- We've assigned the licenses to an Entra Group that includes all our devices.
- The Office configuration has included.
- For testing, I've also added .

What confuses me is that assigning the "Microsoft 365 A1 for devices for students" licenses to users in Entra ID seems to work fine, but that's not a practical solution for us. Are there any tips or steps we might be overlooking?

Are the Office apps on your devices failing to activate? Because that's what I'm getting from your post. If that's the case, they might not just recognize the device licenses properly.

Yeah, that's exactly what's happening! I ran vnextdiag.ps1 as well, and it's saying "no device license found". Is it typical that a 'device' license can also be assigned to a user without issues? I'm questioning if our licenses are truly device licenses or not.

I had a similar situation and found that I needed to re-run the configuration after we changed the licensing settings for our devices that previously had shared licensing. Make sure your configuration XML is properly set up. Here’s a part of what worked for us:

Check to ensure that you've replaced the IDs and language settings with your values!

Thanks for sharing this! It looks really similar to my setup, but I did the installation on a brand-new device without any previous Office 365 installations.
