Hey everyone! I'm having a frustrating time getting my new small form factor (SFF) PC build to post. I've built a few PCs before, but it's been a while, and I'm feeling a bit lost since things aren't going smoothly this time. Here's what I've got in my setup:
- AMD 9600x processor
- ASRock B850I Lightning WIFI motherboard
- Patriot Viper DDR5 6000 CL30 RAM (2x16GB)
- Crucial P3 2TB M.2 SSD
- ASRock Challenger 9070XT graphics card
- Corsair SF750 power supply
So far, I've tried a bunch of things to troubleshoot:
- Reseating the RAM
- Testing each RAM stick one at a time
- Updating the BIOS using flashback feature
- Reseating the GPU
- Attempting to boot without the Bootable USB
- Trying without the M.2 SSD
I cleared the CMOS after every change, and after several tries, the PC did manage to post and let me run Windows, but it crashed overnight after going to sleep. When I restarted, it wouldn't post again. After reseating the RAM, it booted up, but then froze and crashed just 30 seconds after logging in. I'm at my wits' end—I've tried everything and it's still freezing and crashing.
I'm starting to think the issue might be with the RAM or the motherboard since the LED readout consistently indicates a RAM issue when it fails to boot. Any tips or insights would be super helpful!

Have you tried running the RAM at the default JEDEC speed? Sometimes the EXPO profile can be a bit too aggressive and cause stability issues. Just reverting to the default settings could help you get a stable boot.

Yeah, I did try that along with the EXPO profile and even adjusted the speed and voltage manually. Default speeds seem to be the only ones that work for me.
