I have an old 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green hard drive that seems to be dead. When I power it on, I can hear some noise if I put it near my ear, but I'm not sure if it's the issue with the IDE/SATA connection. I'm looking for help to see if there's anything I can do to try and recover it.

Have you checked if the drive appears in the Disk Manager or BIOS? That's a good first step to see if your computer recognizes it at all.

No, it doesn't show up there.

I can confirm, it shows up in programs like EaseUs but not in my computer.

It sounds like you have an HDD adapter connected, but if your computer isn't recognizing it, there might be an issue with the adapter or the drive itself. It might be worth trying a different adapter or checking the connections.
