I recently built a new PC with an Asus B850-I motherboard, AMD 9700x CPU, ProArt 5080 GPU, an Asus Loki 850w power supply, and 64GB (32x2) Teamgroup RAM running at 6000MHz. It worked without issues yesterday, but today it crashed unexpectedly, going black, and the GPU fans ramped up to full speed. I've tried reinstalling the GPU driver and reapplying thermal paste, but the problem persists. I'm currently running a memory diagnostic test, but the GPU fans keep spinning at full speed, and the system crashed again during the test at 70%. I'm stumped about what might be causing this, especially since the fans shouldn't be running full blast during a RAM test.

It sounds like the issue might be related to your RAM. Sometimes, dual rank memory kits can have compatibility issues right out of the box on AM5, especially if you're trying to run them at high speeds. For fewer headaches, consider using a 2x16 or 2x24 6000 setup to keep everything running smoothly.

I get where you’re coming from, but I’ve been using 2x32 6000 RAM on a 9800X3D for over a year without a hitch. Sure, it took some initial tuning, but I haven’t faced crashes besides some driver issues. My setup has been pretty stable!
