Trying to Choose Between Mint and Bazzite for My First Distro

I'm a long-time Windows user and ready to make the switch to Linux since I'm upgrading my PC and want a new operating system. I've been looking at two distros: Mint and Bazzite. I mostly game on Steam, usually offline, and I've heard that Bazzite is like the Steam OS. But then, Mint seems more user-friendly to get started with. I have a 500GB SSD for the OS and a 6TB HDD filled with my games. Will I be able to use my HDD's game data with the new OS, or will I need to wipe everything and reinstall all my games on Steam?

Choosing between Mint and Bazzite depends a lot on what you want to do. Bazzite basically turns your setup into a SteamDeck, so you can dive right into gaming with minimal fuss. It switches to a desktop mode if you need it, which is pretty cool. Mint is more of a typical Linux experience, so if you want to learn Linux basics, Mint could be the way to go. As for using your HDD games, while Linux can run Steam and games from an NTFS drive, it's not ideal. I'd recommend backing up your game files and switching that drive to ext4 for better performance.

Do both distros support ext4 file types? I'm worried I'll have to reinstall everything again.
