Unexpected File Transfer Issues on My C Drive

This morning, I ran into a strange problem while trying to move some files from my C drive to my F drive. I received a message stating, "Your organization does not allow you to place this file here." To resolve this, I ended up giving myself full access to the folder. However, the situation got weirder; the system then warned me that "This APPX file cannot be moved because it is not encrypted as expected." I paused there because I felt there was something off with my drive. Just yesterday, I had no issues moving files from the same folder. Also, some files were transferring at a snail's pace, so I had to zip them up first because the direct transfer was claiming it would take over a day for about 10 to 15 GB worth of files. This is the first time I've encountered this issue, and I'm not sure what steps to take next since I'm using the latest version of Windows 11.

You might be dealing with an issue related to UWP (Universal Windows Platform) apps since they have some restrictions on file movement. Just to clarify, you can't move UWP apps from one drive to another, especially if they're installed on the system drive. It sounds like you were trying to relocate mods for MSFS that are linked to those apps. If that's the case, try to check if you can manage the files through the game’s mod management features instead. That might save you some hassle.

It’s worth considering if you accidentally logged into any corporate resources or installed work-related software. Sometimes, when your PC has enterprise-level security policies or is managed by an organization, it can lead to these restrictions popping up. If that’s not the case, you might want to check if any other security or backup software is interfering. Have you looked into that?

Also, always back up your data before making any adjustments. System changes can lead to data loss, which nobody wants to deal with. And if you’re ever unsure, communities like this one could have more tailored advice based on your experiences.

Just to rule out common issues, make sure you aren't dealing with BitLocker encryption. You've mentioned trying to disable it, but it might be worth checking again. Sometimes, this feature is on without obvious indications. You could also try creating a new folder and transferring files there to see if the issue persists.
