I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 1060 to an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB with hopes of enhancing my gaming experience and ensuring my PC is future-proof. However, since making the switch, I've faced numerous issues—including crashes, freezes, DirectX errors, and problems with game launches, especially with titles like Battlefield 2042 and Cyberpunk 2077. I meticulously uninstalled my old drivers using DDU and installed the new ones cleanly, yet my system remains unstable. I've tried multiple driver versions, adjusted BIOS settings, and even experimented with undervolting, but the performance doesn't feel right. My power supply is a CoolerMaster MWE Gold 750 V2 and I have all the necessary cables set up correctly. Is it time to return this card to Amazon? If I consider replacing it within a $450 budget, what GPU would you recommend? I'm feeling frustrated with my AMD experience so far and don't want to repeat it.

Make sure you used DDU correctly! It’s best to run it in safe mode and before installing any new drivers. If you didn’t fully wipe the old Nvidia drivers, that could totally mess things up. I had a similar experience when I switched to AMD—it’s frustrating!
It seems like there’s some confusion about your card model—did you say 9060 XT or 6900 XT? Either way, switching from Nvidia to AMD can sometimes cause issues. A reinstall of Windows might solve it, even though I know you want to avoid that. Just keep in mind that it’s a different beast, and proper driver removal is key. Don’t blame AMD just yet!
Honestly, a clean Windows install might be what you need. Don’t stress, it might save you from ongoing headaches!
Before you return anything, run the DISM and SFC checks to make sure your Windows installation is intact. That might help with the stability issue without having to reinstall everything. And yeah, what GPU do you want to switch to? Something like the RTX 4060 Ti could be a solid pick within your budget!
Thanks! I’ll try those checks first before deciding on anything else.

Yep, DDU is great, but I had to reinstall Windows to really clear things up. Maybe consider checking system integrity with DISM and SFC first.
