I recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 7 3700X to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D on my B550M DS3H motherboard (rev. 1.1). The BIOS version is F12, which supports the new CPU, and everything seems to work fine, except for one frustrating issue: I can't seem to get past 3.4 GHz on my CPU. Given this limitation, I'm really worried about how much FPS I might be losing compared to a frequency of around 4.050-100 GHz. The thing is, I'm quite paranoid about messing with my BIOS settings, especially since I can't afford a new motherboard right now. Are there any fixes or adjustments I could try? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? It’s different from just updating the BIOS and can help your motherboard recalibrate for the new CPU. Just remember, this will reset all your settings, so you'll have to re-enable any updates like XMP/DOCP.
I haven’t tried that yet, but I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes!
