Hey everyone! I've been using a 2080 Super since June 2020 and while it still performs well, I've started noticing some instability. I'm considering upgrading to a 5060 Ti, mostly for budget reasons and because performance should be similar. I'm relatively new to building PCs and want to make sure there won't be any compatibility issues with my current setup. Right now, I have an Intel i9-9900KS CPU, a Gigabyte Z390 ATX motherboard, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, plus a 240Hz 1080p monitor. Could anyone share insights on compatibility or potential bottlenecks with these parts? I'm okay with some bottlenecking since my budget is limited, but I want to ensure I'm not left with a significantly less capable PC. I've also included my full part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3hpfsp. Thanks for your help!

Just a heads up, make sure your power supply can handle the new GPU’s power needs. It’s not likely a huge issue since the 5060 Ti uses less power than the 2080, but it’s always good to check. Also, while DDR4 RAM isn’t the best, 32GB is plenty, so you’ll probably be fine running games without compatibility issues there.
Yeah, RAM compatibility is usually chill as long as you meet the speed and capacity requirements. Thanks for the advice!
Upgrading should generally be straightforward! Just make sure to power down your PC, unplug it, and remove the old graphics card carefully before installing the 5060 Ti. As for compatibility with your i9-9900KS, there might be some bottlenecking, but your CPU should still perform well with the new GPU. Worst case, if you feel it’s necessary, you could consider upgrading the CPU and motherboard down the line.
I had an i9-9900KF in my last rig and it ran smoothly with a similar upgrade! I tested it with a 5080 and had no issues at all—definitely manageable!
Thanks for the reassurance! I’m feeling more confident about making the switch. Might even consider selling my 2080 Super to help fund this upgrade!
Your motherboard is good to go with PCIe4, so there shouldn’t be any issues there. Getting the 5060 Ti should work just fine with your setup!
Great, I’m excited to make my purchase soon!

Good to know! I’ve checked the PSU and it should be okay since I noticed the 5060 Ti has lower power consumption.
