Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a GeForce RTX 3050 because I recently got a new game and quickly realized my current setup isn't cutting it. I'm not after anything too extreme in terms of frame rates—just hoping for a smoother gaming experience. Here are my specs: 16GB RAM, Intel i7-8700 CPU, and the RTX 3050. I'm aiming to spend reasonably, ideally between 100 and 300 euros. Any suggestions for alternatives to the RTX 3050? Thanks in advance!

If you’re looking at new Nvidia cards, here’s a quick rundown from worst to best: 5050, 5060, and 5060 Ti (I highly recommend the 16GB model). Any of these will definitely be a step up from a 3050. However, remember that your CPU might bottleneck performance depending on the games you play and what resolution/settings you’re running. Just something to keep in mind!
You might want to sell your 3050 and grab a 9060 XT 16GB instead. Another good option could be a used RX 6800 or a 2080 Ti for around 250 euros.
Consider picking up a used RTX 2070 or 2070 Super. You should be able to find one for under 200 euros, which is a solid deal. Just save some of that budget for a future CPU/motherboard upgrade too!
The RTX 3060 is getting pretty affordable these days, but if you can find a 2070 Super or even a lucky grab on a 2080, that could be a great option!
A good starting point is to identify what's limiting your FPS in the game. If it's the GPU, then you'd definitely want an upgrade. But just a heads up, you might need a new motherboard to accommodate a faster GPU.
