Upgrading from GTX 1080 to Intel Arc B580: Compatibility Concerns?

I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 1080 as it's starting to show its age. I've heard some good things about the Intel Arc B580 in terms of price and performance, particularly for 1080p gaming. I have an existing build with a Rog Strix GTX 1080, a Rog Strix Z390-E motherboard, an i7-8700k CPU, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz. My main question is, will I face any compatibility issues if I simply swap out the GTX 1080 for the Intel Arc B580? I've never used an Intel GPU before, so any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Technically, you can swap the cards without major issues, but I wouldn't recommend the B580 for your setup. The Intel drivers aren't fully optimized yet, especially on older CPUs like your i7-8700k. It might struggle with the added driver overhead and not give you the performance boost you're hoping for. Do you have a budget in mind for an upgrade?

Not really, I just want something good without breaking the bank. I thought this card might be a solid choice at its price.
