I'm planning to upgrade my PC from an Intel i9-10900KF to a Ryzen 9800X3D. Besides swapping out the motherboard and RAM, is there anything else I need to do to get the new CPU up and running? I've watched a bunch of videos trying to understand the process, but I'm still unclear. Once I install the new CPU, motherboard, and RAM, will my existing Windows, SSD, and HDD still work? Also, will I need to do a fresh install of Windows, and if so, will that erase all my files?

Honestly, wiping the drive and starting fresh with a clean install might be your best bet. It can be less hassle in case there are any compatibility issues with the new parts.
If you're using BitLocker for disk encryption, don’t forget to back up your recovery keys to your Microsoft Account. They’re usually stored in the TPM of your CPU, so you’ll need that if you ever need to recover your drive after the swap!
Huh, I’m not really sure what any of that means. Could you break it down a bit?
