I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC, which I built in 2018. Here are my current specs: Intel Core i7-8700K CPU, Zotac 8GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS Master motherboard, 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz RAM, 250GB WD Black M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD, and a Corsair 650W TXM Series PSU. The system runs fine at low graphics settings in most games, but I'm curious about how I can improve performance before I eventually decide to buy a whole new setup. I'm planning to keep the motherboard, CPU, and PSU, so I'm specifically looking for recommendations on what GPU, RAM, and SSD to upgrade to that would enhance performance without creating significant bottlenecks. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The main issue here is your CPU. You've got one of the best CPUs from that generation, but the 2080 is likely already being limited since the CPU can't fully keep up. What resolution are you gaming at? If it’s 2K, you’re probably fine, but at 1080p, the CPU could be problematic.
Honestly, I think upgrading might not be worth it. If you’re gonna swap out your GPU, make sure it’s a significant upgrade from the 2080. But if you do that, your CPU could bottleneck the performance. You might be better off just saving for a new build down the road.
First off, do you have a budget in mind? That can really influence your options. Also, where are you located? It can affect prices for components.
I'm in the UK. I'm on a tight budget, so something between £500 to £1000 would be great.
