I'm looking to refresh my AM4 setup that's around 6-7 years old. Right now, I primarily play fighting games that are capped at 60fps, and although my PC runs them just fine with my Ryzen 5 3600 and 1660 Super, I'm starting to notice some general slowdown. I want to keep this build running as a family PC while I plan out a more significant build down the line. Here's what I'm thinking of swapping: I'm upgrading my CPU from a 3600 to a 5600X and changing my cooler to a Thermalright Phantom Spirit because I believe it's worth the investment. I'm also upgrading my RAM from GSkill 16GB (2x8) 3600/CL18 to 32GB (2x16) 3600/CL16 for better performance. For graphics, I'm switching from a 1660 Super to a 9060XT, which seems like a great value. Lastly, I'm replacing my Seasonic Gold 550W PSU with an MSI MAG A750GL 750W. The motherboard is already on the latest BIOS, so I don't expect compatibility problems, but I'd love advice on handling the software side of things with all these changes—especially any steps related to reinstallations and drivers. Thanks!

Just a thought—since your current PSU works fine, maybe think twice about replacing it. The 9060XT doesn't draw much power. Also, consider upgrading to a 5800XT instead of the 5600X for better performance. More cores and higher clockspeeds will definitely boost your gaming experience!
Just a heads-up regarding Windows activation—sometimes swapping CPUs can trigger activation issues. I recommend swapping the CPU first and making sure it runs smoothly before you switch out the GPU. And swapping RAM shouldn't pose any issues timing-wise, that's usually pretty straightforward.
Got it, I'll do the CPU first. Thanks for the tip!
Since you're moving from an Nvidia card to AMD, it's crucial to use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to clear out the old Nvidia drivers completely before putting in the 9060XT. It can save you a lot of headaches down the road!
Also, since you're changing the CPU, don't forget to have thermal paste handy for the new cooler installation. It's essential!
Everything you've chosen looks solid! If you're already swapping out the power supply, I recommend considering the Montech Century II 850W as an alternative. It's both cheaper and really good quality. That said, your current PSU should handle your needs just fine for now.
Thanks for the suggestion!

That’s a good point! I was only replacing the PSU for peace of mind and not due to performance issues. I might keep the old one after all.
